Anke Grams - Rosenraum

ANKE GRAMS | Rosenraum (2005).

Plastic roses, electromotors, neonlight, sound
400 x 400 cm

In the framework of the group exhibition > "Construction of Landscape in Current Photography" Anke Grams installs the "Rosenraum", of 200 flowers spinning in rose red neonlight - accompanied by the "Blumenwalzer" of Chaikovsky. Suddenly the roses stop, and an old record from the fourties starts reciting the fairytale of "Dornröschen". The voice fades, the waltz starts again and the flowers begin to dance once more.
